The 8th International Scientific Conference "Tourism in Southern and Eastern Europe", hosted by the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management in Opatija, University of Rijeka, will take place at the faculty from 15 to 17 May 2025.

The ToSEE 2025 conference is a renowned multidisciplinary event that has a long history of bringing together academics, policy makers and key tourism stakeholders to explore innovative solutions for sustainable tourism development. The complex interplay of social, economic, technological, environmental, political and other transformative factors has a significant impact on the adaptation and development of the tourism sector. Therefore, the conference provides a platform for comprehensive discussions on a wide range of topics under the concepts of empowerment and engagement in the context of sustainable tourism. This year’s theme, ‘Shaping the Future: Digital Tourism and Sustainable Development’, highlights the role of digitalisation in reshaping tourism practises while striving for sustainability and sets the stage for a dynamic exchange on how technology can foster long-term, responsible growth in the industry.
