ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

The Abstract (400-600 words) must be structured into 4 subheadings and followed by 4-6 key words:

  • Purpose (What are the reason(s) for writing the paper or aims of the research).
  • Methodology (How are the objectives achieved? Include main method(s) used for the research. How do you approach the topic and what is the theoretical or subject scope of the paper?).
  • Findings (What was discovered/proved in the course of conducting the research? This will refer to the analysis, discussion or results. If the paper reports on the research, include suggestions for the future research and provide information about any identified limitations during the research process).
  • Contribution (What is new in the paper? State its theoretical, empirical, practical and social contribution and what it concerns).

Abstracts should be sent to the Organizing Committee via EasyChair (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=tosee2023) no later than 20 January 2023

Each participant is expected to be the author of not more than two papers.

Full Paper Submission

Submitted papers are expected to be original contributions and should not be under consideration for any other publication at the same time. 

Author guidelines

All submitted manuscripts are initially subject to evaluation by the Editors-in-Chief. If they deem the paper suitable, it will be sent for peer review by two independent and anonymous expert referees. The final selection of papers will be made following a double-blind review process by the Editors-in-Chief. The authors may present the paper at the conference after the final acceptance of the paper for publication has been confirmed. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the electronic format of the Conference Proceedings as Open-Aceess articles.

Submitted papers are expected to be original contributions and should not be under consideration for any other publication at the same time. ToSEE publishes original scientific papers, preliminary communications, and review articles, with a length limit of 30.000 characters (15 pages). The paper should be written following the ToSEE 2023 – Conference Template for Full papers in English using Microsoft Word. Authors are responsible for the completeness and grammatical correctness of the paper, without spelling and typographical errors.

Instructions for full papers

The text submitted should not exceed 30,000 characters (15 pages) and should be typed according to the instructions below: 

  • Font: Times New Roman, size 10;
  • Line spacing: single; A4 Format (297x210 mm);
  • Page Setup: Margins: top 5 cm, bottom 5 cm, left 4.4 cm, right 4.2 cm, gutter 0 cm;
  • Layout: header 4 cm, footer 4 cm.
  • The cover page has to list the authors' names, their titles, positions, full addresses of their institutions, telephone, e-mail address, title of the paper.
  • Title of the paper should be concise and informative.

Abstract comprising between  200  and  250  words  should  include  the  purpose, design, methodology, approach, findings, and originality of the research. The abstract should be accompanied by 4-6 keywords pertinent to the main topic of the paper and suitable for indexing and online search purposes.

References  to  other  publications  must  be made  in  Harvard  style  and  carefully  checked  for completeness, accuracy and consistency. In the text references must be included using Harvard "author-date" citation system, e.g. (Jackson 2004, 176) or (Jackson and Miller 2005, 26). An alphabetically ordered reference list should be supplied at the end of the paper. Examples:

  • Journal article:  Surname,  Initials  (year),  "Title  of  article",  Journal  Name,  volume, number, pages. 

e.g. Capizzi, M.T. and Ferguson, R. (2005), "Loyalty trends for the twenty-first century", Journal of Consumer Marketing, Vol. 22, No. 2, pp. 72-80. doi: 10.1108/07363760510589235

  • Book: Surname, Initials (year), Title of Book, Publisher, Place of publication.

e.g. Harrow, R. (2005), No Place to Hide, Simon & Schuster, New York, NY. 

  • Book chapter: Surname, Initials (year), "Chapter title", Editor's Surname, Initials, Title of Book, Publisher, Place of publication, pages.

e.g.  Calabrese,  F.A.  (2005),  "The  early  pathways:  theory  to  practice  –  a  continuum",  in Stankosky, M. (Ed.), Creating the Discipline of Knowledge Management, Elsevier, New York, NY, pp. 15-20.

Please include DOIs in your references if possible.

Figures, graphs, tables must be inserted in the correct place in the text. They should be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals and labelled appropriately in the upper left corner of the figure, graph or table.

Instructions for authors before submitting the paper

Submitted papers should be uploaded through the EasyChair conference management system. Prior to submitting your papers, you should be registered (create an account - sign in) to EasyChair (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=tosee2023)

After having created your account in order to submit the paper, please follow the instructions below:

  • Remove the authors' names in the paper (due to a blind review) – Please save your paper in Word format WITHOUT PROVIDING authors' names
  • Papers should be submitted in English in following form: PAPER TITLE.docx
  • Papers should be written according to the following template ToSEE 2023 Conference Template for Full Papers (WITHOUT PROVIDING authors' names).

Submission Procedure

  • Log in to EasyChair using the following link:  https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=tosee2023
  • Upon successful login, you will see the Main Interface. Click on the role 'Author' to access your submission.
  • Click on 'Submission no. x' on the left side (or "My submissions" in case of multiple submissions)
  • Click the 'Add or update files' button from the right menu to upload the full paper
  • Click on 'Choose file' under the 'Full paper – version 1' option (do NOT upload abstract again).
  • Select the file to upload and ensure it is in Word format (.doc) WITHOUT PROVIDING THE AUTHORS' NAMES.
  • Click on the "Submit" button to confirm the upload.
  • You will receive an e-mail message confirming that your submission was successful.
  • If you are correcting the paper according to the reviewers' comments, highlight all changes in a different colour (or use 'Track Changes' in Word)
  • Upon the review and final paper acceptance, authors should submit a paper via EasyChair using the following template ToSEE 2023 Conference Template for Full Papersin Word (.doc) format only (WITH PROVIDING authors' names and the final version of the accepted paper).
